Are you a history buff? Want to learn more about the military history of the former Myrtle Beach Air Force Base? The Market Common will introduce their Military History Tour on Thursday, November 9th, from 3 – 5 PM.
The Market Common Military History Tour is a must-see for those new to the area. Learn about the vital mission that Myrtle Beach Air Force Base played in the defense of our country.
Tour-takers will board a trolley for a one-hour narrated tour around The Market Common District learning about the history of the former Myrtle Beach Air Force Base. That will be immediately followed by a one-hour catered reception at Tupelo Honey Café where they will meet a historical figure who was part of the base’s history.
The tour includes stops at Warbird Park and at the Base Recreation Center where a small military museum is housed. Tickets are $20 and that includes the trolley tour and reception.
Meet in front of the Grand 14 where the trolley will board and depart for the tour at 3pm. After the one-hour trolley tour, the trolley will drop-off at Tupelo Honey Cafe at 4pm for the one-hour catered reception.
